TASK 6: Visiting Museums

We have visited Victoria & Albert Museum, Science Museum and National History Museum, Darwin Centre. We started visiting from V& A museum, there was an exhibition of Maharaja, The splendour of India's Royal courts. The word of maharaja means great king. The exhibition was to explore maharajas world and rich culture. The exhibition had five different categories; Royal spectacle; the Indian King, who celebrated royal events and festivies and riding elephant or horse. The image of a king was the idea of darshan, it became integral feature of kingship. Shifting Power; Mughal dynasty lost its power. The Raj; Crown rule in India. Princely India; Indian rulers adapted the British Imperial regime.  In this exhibition, I was impressed by the collections of royal jewellery, I like the earrings, bracelets and necklaces, I found very splendid the design of Cartier and Van Cleef& Arpels jewelery and Turban jewels. I also liked the costumes and the textiles. Visiting Science Museum was very interesting. It was fascinating to see  huge machines, cars and war planes. I have visited the second and the third floor. The future theme of third floor round game tables were very innovative. I have enjoyed to see the futuristic materials and the games. The last visit was Darwin Centre. I liked the big size pictures on the walls in the centre. I find very good the samples of the animals like bees, butterflies.  I took many pictures in each museums. Some of the pictures are shown here;
